This course (PSYB19-110 for Psychology BA at ELTE) includes both lecture and seminar classes. PLEASE SIGN UP FOR BOTH ON THE NEPTUN SYSTEM! Make sure you got into BOTH classes, otherwise you will NOT be able to complete the course. Please note that many of the students did not get into seminars this semester, but there will be a Stat course next semester too, with enough practical courses for those who did not get in this semester!

Final grade for the course with code PSYB19-110 is the mean of the exam (50%) and seminar (50%) grades, if both are above 1 (rounded according to mathematical rules).
- The seminar is graded from 1-5 based on two midterms and coursework throughout the classes. Two successful midterm is mandatory for the final Statistics Practical grade. For those who has successful midterms based on Midterm 1 and Midterm 2 the third (Midterms 3) is optional.
- The written exam is based on theoretical knowledge from the lectures and literature, graded from 1-5. The final grade for the course will be administered as a single grade through the lecture course after you’ve signed up for exams (and have taken the exam) in the examination period of the semester.
Goal of the lecture is to provide theoretical background for understanding fundamental issues of statistical reasoning and to develop basic practical skills in statistical analyses.
We suggest to use SPSS (see details in class) or alternatively JASP: a free statistical program, available here: https://jasp-stats.org/download/
